I used a mixture of colours for my magazine as it makes the masthead stand out from the simple background which will attract my target audience. I used a plain background compared to the masthead so the front page isn't overpowering towards the target audience.
My magazine is aimed at all type of college students which is why I used a range of colours which would appeal to everyone.
Shown above, the masthead is the largest text on the page so it will have more chance of being remembered by the target audience.
I have placed my selling lines at the left hand side of the page, as the main image takes up most of the room. The selling lines are also noticable as it also stand out from the plain background and is the second biggest text on the page. This will persuade the target audience to read more by purchasing the magazine.
The main image will take up most of the front page.
My selling lines are aimed at students, starting and finishing College or Univertisty to give them useful tips to help them through-out school. It mentions helpful tips on studying and new coming sports etc, unlike common student magazines, mine will be presented in a way teenagers will relate too.
My main image shows a teacher like model, who's feet are presented as a pen. This shows the creative side of education. The main subject is also holding the world, to represent all area's of education.
My model is wearing simple clothing- Black plain dress. This will make the image stand out from the simple background and make the image more noticable.
My masthead will be in a funky font, using different angels for certain letters. To give it that edge. Where as the rest of the page font will be, yet again simple. The mixture of simple and strange design makes the magazine stand out, but not to overpowering for the target audeince.
