Shown by the image above, it shows that this shot is a medium shot. The image is also using a black and white colour scheme, giving it's target audience a taste of the genre. Shown, the mise-en-scene used in the hows that the genre is very Indie. This image could be used on the front cover, contents page and double page spread as these commonly use mid shots, and the image could easily be placed behind a masthead and selling lines. The artists eyes are above the rule of third, suggesting he is powerful as well as his music. He also has direct eye contact with the camera, making a bond between the artist and the audience, however, he may seem mysterious as his eyes are slightly covered by his hair. The artists body language suggest that he is shy as he has his hands in his pockets and is slumped slightly, however, he looks comfortable which will appeal to the audience.
Shown by the image above, the shot uses a medium close up which could be used on the double page spread, but could also be used on the contents page. The artists eyes are slightly below the rule of thirds, making the artists seem shy or scared to the target audience, the artist is also looking down, making him seem like he is lacking interest, suggesting he doesn't really care, which would appeal to the target audience. The artists facial impressions show that he seems lost, slightly. The colours of the artists outfit match his surrounds making him blend in with the background, however, the bright light in the background make him seem powerful and more noticeable.
How this will influence my final product;
How this will influence my final product;
By looking at the images above, I know how much detail I must produce to make a successful magazine. Similar to the image above, on my front cover, I intend on using a mid shot, this is from the artists waist upwards. I would like my artists to have direct eye contact with my potential readers, this will create a bond between the reader and the artist. I would also like to have the other members of the band looking above the rule of thirds, making them seem mysterious to the reader. I also want my models to wear clothing which fits with the genre of my magazine, such as shirts and plimsolls. These types of clothing make a connection with my potential audience as they are similar to there own interests. I would like my models facial expressions to me mysterious, in a serious and care free way. This will make the readers more curious to the artists story and want to read more.
My contents page will be influenced massively, as I intent on using a long shot of my model in an environment other than the studio, making the image seem more free, which will attract my target readers. I expect my models to have full eye contact with the readers. However, I intend on having the main model eyes to be higher than the rule of third, showing his/her power in the band. I also plan on making this shot brighter than the others, to make the atmosphere seem exciting, as if the readers were at a festival making my target readers envy the atmosphere in the image and want to also see the artist. I expect my models to wear summary clothing to also represent festivals and summer. However, the previous models serious facial expression continues as I intend on keeping the mystery of the image, which would be later explained in the article.

For my double page spread, I shall be using a long shot, showing the same artist from the front cover. The artist will be posed in a way that makes them seem comfortable and friendly. However, there will be several different images showing several different poses to represent different emotions, from excitement to being serious. This will create an unique and powerful look for the artist. Some images of the artists eyes will be above the rule of third, suggesting confidence and power, however some will be directly in the rule of thirds, making full eye contact with the reader. The artists clothing will contrast the background and will resemble their music genre, this will be done with the use of bright colours on simple, plain backgrounds.
