Costume

I put much consideration into the costume of my male models. And I decided to pick a checkered buttoned shirts which a popular at the moment and fits with the youth of today. My three male models shall be wearing checkered buttoned shirts of different colours as it stand out and will catch my target readers attention. It also fits with the genre of my magazine as most  stereotypical 'Indies' wear plain or checkered buttoned shirts.  Another item of clothing I expect my models to wear is black or dark blue denim jeans which are uncommon these days as Chino's are more popular. However, Chino's are considered to be 'too mainstream' as most 'indies' try to be unique. Finally, I would like my male models to wear boats as they are stylish and fit with my genre. Boats are very different to other types of shoes which makes them more appealing to my target audience.  These items of clothing are considered as 'smart'. This reflects the genre of my magazine and will attract my potential readers.

I also put much thought into my female models outfit. The first item of clothing I had decided for my models on the front cover is a denim shirt of any style. I choose this because I want my female model to stand out from the male models, whom are all wearing checkered shirts. The plain denim look will contrast with the different checkered colours to make her the first artist to be noticed on the page. Denim shirts are very popular for my potential readers. The next item of clothing I have picked for my female model is patterned leggings. Leggings have always been popular. However the patterned leggings stand out completely from the crowd, making them instantly popular on the market. This will look great on my female model as they will contrast with the plain denim shirt and this will grab the readers attention. Finally, I decided to pick common, All Star Converse for my models foot ware. The white colour stand out massively, making my model even more noticed. This is also considered 'smart' and is very modern. The 'indie' look is becoming more popular which is represented in my costume and models.
